well i used to work on computers (just repairers) but anyway im working on building a desktop computer now and wanted to make sure everything was compatible before i go and buy it all
so far i have
1) Nzxt Technologies Phantom with Green Trim (Green LED) Enthusiast Full Tower Case - Phan-002Gr (Black)
2) MSI nVidia GeForce GTX550 Ti Cyclone OC 1GB DDR5 2DVI/Mini HDMI PCI-Express Video Card N550GTX-TI CYCLONE OC
3) Cooler Master GX Series 750W ATX Power Supply RS750-ACAAE3-US
the rest is what i plan on buying

so as a recap is it all compatible and if u have anything i should change or upgrade ill listen to suggestions

one thing to upgrade is the hard drive. the 5400 rpm is going to be slow. try bumping up to a 7200 rpm hard drive.
Also, if you plan on gaming, i would recommend a better video card. You processor is much much better than the 550ti. With all the money you are spending, i would go for a 6870 or 560ti. they will give much better performance. With all the money youre putting in, you dont wanna bottleneck.
That power supply is a great choice. Cooler master makes great products and you dont want to skimp out on a cheap psu.
I would also recommend getting stand off screws, they help prevent your motherboard from frying if voltage/current (dont know which one) goes from your case. The stand offs are placed between the case and motherboard. You can buy them on amazon for less than $5 but they are important.
If you go onto youtube.com and search in, "newegg tv how to build a computer" there are 3 great videos about building a pc. the first vid is about selecting good parts, the 2nd is about putting them all together, and the 3rd is installing your operating system (most likely windows). I would watch all 3 because the dude really knows his stuff.

Can I fit A 2.5in Hitachi internal hard drive in this desktop case?

Im upgrading from a laptop to a desktop and I am curious if I can keep the same harddrive without any problems.
It is a Hitachi Travelstar 2.5 Inch 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA 2, and the case is-

Laptops use 2.5" drives, but desktops use 3.25" drives. You could get it to fit, but you would need to buy an adapter. It looks like two U shaped pieces of metal. You screw them onto the side of the hard drive, then it will fit into a desktop hard drive bay and the screw holes on it will line up. Other than that, it should work fine. Laptop SATA and desktop SATA use the same plugs.
