These are nice specs except for this:

Graphics
Dedicated Video Memory Yes
Shared Video Memory Up To 2047MB
TV Tuner No
Video Memory 256MB Dedicated Graphics

You will want at least 512MB of dedicated graphics memory. For most current games, you will want 1GB of video memory

What do you think of this cheaper gaming rig?

Josh

I'm trying to stay around $600 with this thing, but still make a good one. I'm only going to buy the one graphics card at first and I'll buy another and SLI when I get the money. What do you guys think of this, and will it all work together (and SLI'ing two 8800's on this power supply, they require a 400W separately)? Haha I checked everything, but I just need to be sure.

Oh and I'm gunna remove the crap PSU from the case and put the good one in, forgot it came with one...

Answer
Get an antec case without a powersupply imo. Unless you want 2 power supplys for some reason.

Also you might be going to cheap on your graphics card. But if your budget is that tight then never mind. I wouldn't cut back on anything you've listed in order to up your graphics card.

Also, all your links are broken.

actually, your PSU is probably overkill unless you're planning to buy 2 8800gts. I can't see the price on it, but you might be able to go with a cheaper PSU and run something high in the 9xxxGT line or maybe 260.

Wolfdale is a great choice. Going higher in that line might be a good idea if you can spare the money. But you've definitely selected the right type of cpu.
