DJ-ing questions....?

Well, me and a friend of mine are planning on getting into DJ-ing and I have some questions. My friend has a good mac laptop, which we plan on using for the DJ-ing, but what type of software/hardware should be used? Also, should we get an external hard drive for all the music? What type of speakers should we use, and are there any other elements I'm missing? thanks

I am not sure what software is out there for mac... but for pc there are a few good ones... I've tried virtual dj http://www.virtualdj.com/products/ this site will not only give you the software, but you can get tutorial, blogs and advice on the type of hardware that it is needed. Typically for hardware, you need a mixer, speakers, amp, lights, fog machine, power cords, lots of music of all types and you have to decide if you want to go CD or vinyl or both, most djs would tell you vinyl is the way to go. ok i see hdd and regular hard drive out there for sale for the 360 is there a difference? i have a arcade 360.
