Q. and what do i need for cooling? the case comes with three fans but i have no idea about cpu cooling and hard drive cooling and if its necessary?

I very much prefer a PC with huge upgradability characteristics without sacrificing performance even if slightly higher in price. Everything is compatible and if you want to overclock you will need a CPU cooler aftermarket type with many good ones around just checking newegg for ratings on an FX compatible one, and you can enter your parts in http://pcpartpicker.com/

I prefer an i3 build that you later upgrade to i5-3570K with a CPU cooler and a super motherboard that has pcie 3.0 that doesn't reduce the 7000 series performance by about 7% and allows for a crossfire/sli second graphics and has a strong power supply and if you add up the numbers, with the free DRAM at Newegg on the good motherboard (available on a few 990X ones also for the FX series), your fx series will bottleneck a second graphics card so those 990X with multiple slots are a bit of a waste.
You have excluded an operating system in your build.

You can even trim it further, but I show a MB with free decent DRAM.
$681.24 with Windows 8, mouse, keyboard, and a good motherboard and CPU that should meet or beat the FX-4100 non-overclocked on most games. It has been tested to do so over and over.
Just a thought for you, until the free memory offer disappears.

i dont know a lot about computers, so could someone tell me if this is good for gaming and video editing? like sony vegas, cinema 4d, boujou and after effects? p.s. i know 16 gb ram is kind of overkill, but its only $50 more than 8 gb so, i figured what the hell.

It's good for gaming, but not equivalent to Intel's second-generation Core i5.
For video editing skip the FX-6100... the Phenom II X6 1100T is better for the money. Either that, or upgrade to the 8120 or 8150... but keep in mind even the 8150 has lackluster gaming performance compared to Intel's Sandy Bridge.
